Antique, Roman, A rare agate intaglio Grand Tour gold-mounted cross pendant
The large cross set with six ancient Roman intaglios, probably 1st-3rd centuries BC, including a layered sardonyx goose, a pair of cockerels, a green phrase cornucopia, a layered sardonyx profile of a lady with a headdress, and a layered sardonyx man with staff. Mounted circa 1820.
Contained in original green morocco leather case.
